About Us

A Heritage of Craftsmanship, A Vision for Global Quality

Oman Cutlery is a trusted manufacturer with over 40 years of experience in precision kitchen knife production. Our journey began in 1980, when our parent company was founded in Taiwan, rooted in a passion for metalwork and dedication to quality.

In 1994, we expanded into Mainland China, establishing our first kitchen knife manufacturing facility in Shanghai. This move marked the beginning of our large-scale production capabilities, combining traditional craftsmanship with emerging industrial technology.

To meet growing global demand and enhance efficiency, we opened our second factory in Zhejiang in 2008, strategically located in one of China’s most prominent hardware manufacturing hubs. This facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, advanced quality control systems, and a highly skilled workforce.

Sustainable Manufacturing Begins at the Factory:

Our Commitment to Eco-Friendly Practices

In an era where the planet’s resources are becoming increasingly precious, sustainability is no longer just a slogan, it’s at the core of corporate responsibility. As a brand dedicated to crafting high-quality kitchen knives, we understand that precision and durability are only part of our promise. Equally important is how our products are made.

🌱 Energy-Efficient Equipment: Balancing Performance and Sustainability
To significantly reduce energy consumption, our factories have been fully upgraded with high-efficiency, energy-saving equipment. From smart air conditioning systems to low-energy forging and polishing machines, every detail is carefully designed and optimized. This not only ensures a more stable production process but also greatly reduces electricity usage.

🌍 Carbon Reduction: Minimizing Our Footprint at the Source
To truly realize our vision of carbon neutrality, we have restructured our manufacturing processes and shifted toward low-carbon materials and green energy. Some of our production lines now operate on renewable energy sources. We also collaborate closely with our supply chain to assess carbon emissions from raw materials and transportation.

💧 Wastewater Treatment: Closed-Loop Recycling with Zero Waste
Water is an essential resource in manufacturing. To minimize its environmental impact, we have implemented an advanced closed-loop water treatment system that effectively processes and reuses wastewater from production. Through multi-stage filtration and purification, we are able to recycle nearly 90% of the water used in our processes, reducing reliance on external water sources and significantly lowering our environmental footprint.

Quality and Trust, Backed by International Certifications

In today’s global market, quality is more than just a visible attribute, it is a promise and responsibility to our customers. To ensure peace of mind for everyone who uses our kitchen knives, we have actively obtained a range of international certifications. From our manufacturing processes to the final products, every stage is meticulously monitored, reflecting our strong commitment to quality, safety, and social responsibility.

ISO 9001: Quality Management System Certification
Our factory is certified with ISO 9001, an internationally recognized quality management system standard. This ensures that every step of our production from raw material sourcing to manufacturing and final delivery is precisely controlled to maintain consistent product quality.

🤝 BSCI: Business Social Compliance Initiative
We are committed to fair and ethical manufacturing, actively participating in the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative). This ensures fair labor conditions, safe working environments, and compliance with international human rights standards that reflecting our respect for both employees and supply chain partners.

🔪 ISO 8442-1: Safety Standard for Metal Materials in Contact with Food
Our knives are certified to meet ISO 8442-1, a global standard specifically for metal cutlery and kitchen knives. This ensures safety and durability when our products come into contact with food, offering greater reassurance to consumers.

🔬 LFGB / FDA: Food Safety Approved

As tools that come into direct contact with food, all of our knife products have passed food-grade safety tests under both the EU LFGB and the US FDA standards. They are free from harmful substances, ensuring safe and healthy cooking experiences every time.

🧪 SGS: Independent Testing and Certification

We partner with SGS, a world-renowned testing organization, to conduct regular quality inspections and product validations. From raw materials to finished goods, SGS’s independent testing provides credible assurance of product safety and quality.

🌳 FSC: Responsible Forest Management Certification

For products that feature wooden handles, we use FSC-certified wood from responsibly managed forests. This guarantees that our raw materials are sourced sustainably, helping to protect natural resources and support long-term environmental sustainability.

Relentless Innovation, Uncompromising Precision: The Strength of Our R&D

Beyond the edge of the blade lies the power of innovation.
We believe that truly exceptional kitchen knives are not only a product of craftsmanship, but also the result of advanced technology and a deep understanding of user needs. At the heart of it all is our dedicated research and development team.

  • Expert Team with Cross-Disciplinary Expertise

Our R&D department is composed of metallurgists, industrial designers, ergonomic specialists, and seasoned knife makers. Together, they merge science and practicality, carefully engineering every detail from material selection and blade geometry to handle comfort and heat treatment processes.

  • Precision Development: From Lab to Kitchen

Each new knife undergoes dozens of prototypes, tests, and refinements before reaching the market. Equipped with advanced metal analysis tools and durability testing systems, we simulate real-life usage to ensure every blade is not only sharp, but built to last.

  • Material Innovation: Premium German and Japanese Steel

We carefully source high-grade steel from Germany and Japan which renowned globally for their metallurgical excellence. In partnership with international suppliers and academic research institutions, we develop custom steel formulations tailored to kitchen use, balancing hardness, corrosion resistance, and ease of maintenance. These materials are the foundation of our cutting performance.

  • Blending Tradition with Modern Technology

While we honor the artistry of traditional forging, we also embrace digital simulation, 3D printing, and precision automation. This integration ensures that each knife carries the warmth of handmade craftsmanship, with the reliability and consistency of modern production.

We believe that great knives are not just designed – they are refined, over and over again.

Through countless trials, feedback, and improvements, our R&D team is constantly pushing forward and always working on the next, better blade.
